On the third try I finally got a spray skirt that I could get on my boat on my own. Granted, I had to soak it in warm water first, but, after the initial stretch, I was able to put it on by myself, which after all, is what you need to be able to do. The nylon waist band will pool water if you do not have it pulled up high enough. The hook and loop fit is a nice feature. Good all around skirt.

Snap Dragon has the only off-the-shelf spray skirt that I know of for NDK kayaks. It's a great fit at the coaming and waist. I guess the best product endorsement I can give is to say I bought this item to replace the very same model I have used for years.

I'm very pleased with this sprayskirt. I particularly like being able to adjust how tight (or loose) the tube is. Keeping it a little bit snug reminds me to use my abs when paddling—always a good thing. One possible detraction: the blue nylon part of the tube is showing discoloration after only a few extended uses, possibly due to rubbing from my PFD. I haven't had it long enough to tell whether the color change is cosmetic only.

nice spray skirt, comfortable, water tight, and not too hot. The only con is that water can pool in the nylon tube if it slips below the neopream deck, however if you remember to adjust the spry skirt it is not a problem. realy like this pray skirt.

The neoprene deck is a bit thinner than my whitewater deck and also a bit less hot. The skirt in general is quite functional--it is comfortable, is easy to put on your waist and the deck, and effectively keeps water out. If you plan to do a lot of rolling and keep the inside of the boat bonedry, you'll probably want to consider a neoprene tunnel as well. For touring and comfort, however, this skirt can't really be beat in my opinion. We have both the glacier trek with breathable tunnel and without. I would recommend paying a bit more to have it be waterproof breathable.

I have ordered custom size glacier spray skirts on several occasions for
boats I have built and they have always been spot on and have served me
well over the years. My cockpits tend to be small, and I use a medium tube,
the two are compatible, no problem.
I recommend that you trace the outline of your cockpit coaming so that the
fit is just right. You might want to also order a cockpit cover at the same
time so they can custom fit that as well.

BUT do not buy the Galcier! It WILL leak after a year or so. Go for the Ocean Tour EXP or Oceab Trek, they are excellebt and durable and waterproof in any condition !

you need to measure the cockpit of your kayak and then compare that to this

and don't worry about up- or down-sizing. the chart is spot on.

There ar two parts to skirt fitting; the deck to fit the boat and the tube to fit you. Go to the manufacturer's site www.snapdragondesign.com. In the upper left corner click Tube Sizing. In the second chart the Glacier tube sizing is listed. measure at the sternum. Note tube size.
then click Deck size. go to bottom on writing to the FIT LIST. On the secnd lIne click OCEAN/Trek Kayaks. Scroll down to Nigel Dennis and note the deck size is LV+ for the Pilgrim.
You will need both the Tube Size and the Deck size to order the right skirt.
I have 2 Glacier Trek skirts and highly recommend them unless you will roll the boat a lot or play in very strong sea conditions (hence the rolling). A full neoprene skirt is best for water tightness, but not the most comfortable.
