I use it for storing because I store in my shed and this help keep the critters out. The cord is tight enough for a very tight fit.

So far only used for storage of kayak between uses. Very pleased to discover this product big enough for my long cockpit (Pungo 57"). Bungee cord is inelastic, making it hard to keep the kayak stationary while feeding the cord up the coaming sides and stretching it onto the end. Once there all is fine.

I store my kayak outside, so before getting the cover every time I used the kayak spiders and other bugs would crawl on my legs while paddling. Now I keep the cover on, and bugs and leaves stay out of the cockpit.
I also use it when I carry the kayak on top of the car. They say it saves gas money which makes sense but I haven't used in long enough trips to corroborate it
