I bought the "small" size for my C-D Nomad GTS. It is a tight fit, but I am happy with it. Not worried about it blowing off or sagging because of rain.

Comments about NRS Neoprene Cockpit Cover:

I bought the cockpit cover for my Current Designs Cypress kayak. I wanted a tight-fitting cover that wouldn't blow off in transporting the kayak atop my truck. The cover fits snugly but true to size. The pull handle makes it easy to remove. The neoprene is as thick as my spray skirt.

Comments about NRS Neoprene Cockpit Cover:

Great product. It's mainly used when kayak is being stored between uses. But recently, Hurricane Sandy came through and it helped protect my kayak from filling with water. Not even the high winds could remove it from the cockpit rim. Inside was dry, not one drop of water got through.

It always has for me. Sometimes, as an extra precaution, I put my web tie
down strap through the loop. As an aside, it is a very tight cover that
requires some strength and finesse to get on.

I usually don't drive more than 75 mph but have never had any problems with the cover coming off. I do run a strap though though loop as a precaution.

Depends on boat, how you have things tied down, the amount of heavy truck traffic and wind direction. It will stay on in most instances. I put a belly band around the kayak and cockpit cover when I use the cockpit cover. The belly band is a 6ft strap and I can use the strap as a grab point when I am heave-hoing boats.

We've had very good luck with this cover. Been to Maine and back , to
Cleveland and back, several times. Speeds to 80 miles per hour. Absolutely
                        no problems.
For us the cover is very tight and absolutely waterproof. It is a little
tough to get it on and off.
                        Highly recommended.

as long as it is the correct size. we drove to maryland with ours at 75 mph no problem. i paddle a jackson allstar 07'.deck cover stayed on and kept the rain out. you would have to exceed 100mph to lose it. or better said you will tear the boat off the rack long b4 the deck cover. five star product.

I have traveled at speeds of about 65-70 on highways (mostly 2hrs or less each way) and never had a problem with this cover. It fits VERY snugly.

Yes,I do believe it will stay secured. But as always you have to use common sense. If your boat cockpit is such that you can pull this cover off with your pinky then the answer is no. I had to use some muscle getting this on and off my kayak. (Perception Dancer XT and Mirage) I hope this helps.

Sorry, I can't help you. I had to return that cover(s) because it would not fit over our cockpit(s). NRS exchanged them for us and the new mesh ones that I replaced them with work fine. They do well at 75-80mph. Wish i could be of more help.

I have made 300+ mile trips with this cover on a Piranha Burn. The kayak
was on Yakima Hully Rollers on the back and Mako Aero Saddles on the
                        front.
Speed was 70 mph most of the time. There were a few times I reached 80 mph
for less than a minute. It has always stayed secured. I have no doubt that
the cover would stay even at a constant speed of 80 mph. Never heard it
flapping or making any strange noise.
As a side note, the reason I limit vehicle speed is not the cover, but the
rack. I don't like to strain the rack nor the attachment points on the
vehicle. In any case, I always tie a cord between one of the kayak's
handles and the cover's release strap, so I don't loose it in case
                        something unusual happens.
                        Hope this helps.
