NRS Women's Little Jane Wetsuit - Closeout Q: Hi guys. I'm 5'5", 177 lbs, bust 37", waist measured at navel as 36", and hips 44" to 44.5" and am trying to decide between the large and extra-large suit. Can you help? I'm buying internationally so I'd prefer not to have to return a suit. Thanks. Asked on 2/11/2013 by snorkel fan Know the answer? Answer this question 7 answers A: I would go for the extra large Phyl Sent from my iPad Answered on 2/12/2013 by Anonymous A: I would get the extra large. Answered on 2/12/2013 by Anonymous A: For what it is worth . . .I am 5'6", 135#, bust 37", hips 38". I got the small size to be able to share the suits with my slightly smaller daughters. The length is about right, and it fits my daughters well. It's a little snuggish on me, but works OK as it is pretty stretchy material, and I'd rather have it snug than loose. Good luck-sorry I can't help more. Mary Answered on 2/11/2013 by Anonymous A: I am 5'8" 140 pounds and my measurements are 36 31 36. I bought a large and it fits great. I hope that helps.... Answered on 2/12/2013 by Anonymous A: We are about the same size -I bought the Large and it is more than big enough, even has a couple of gaps.Good luck! Answered on 2/12/2013 by Anonymous A: I'm an inch shorter and 20 lbs lighter - I have a large and it's plenty big enough. Answered on 2/12/2013 by Meredith from Stoner Lake NY A: Hi, our women customer service folks say they think the Large suit will be the best fit for you. Unfortunately, this closeout model is only still available in Medium and X-Large. You can take a chance on the sale item in XL or go with the Large in the redesigned model, # 22161, which has just been spruced up with different color blocking, purely cosmetic changes. NRS Women's Little Jane Wetsuit - Closeout Q: Which aspect of sizing is the most important. My hips need an extra small and my bust and waist need a medium. Asked on 12/27/2012 by Alice Know the answer? Answer this question 4 answers A: I would get a medium. It is a snug fit. Answered on 12/27/2012 by Anonymous A: Hi, Alice! I recently got a new Medium wetsuit that fits me well without being too tight, but I’m a normal size 10. I would not recommend getting a wetsuit that is too small for any part of your body, as you may diminish your overall flexibility or the ability to breathe freely (been there, hated that). If you feel that your dimensions are too disproportionate, you might consider a dry suit instead, which does not have to fit tightly in any area except the gaskets, and you can fill the hip area with extra layers of fleece. I hope you get additional feedback from other women. Happy paddling! Mary Lou Answered on 12/27/2012 by Bob from Fredericksburg, VA A: Alice, you haven't given enough info to really help us size for you properly. Please give us a call, 800.635.5202, and ask to speak to one of our women customer service folks. She can help get you into the best size suit. Answered on 12/27/2012 by Clyde from NRS A: Bust is more important!!! Answered on 12/28/2012 by Anonymous
NRS Women's Little Jane Wetsuit - Closeout Q: I plan on using it my indoor pool which is has chlorine. How will it hold up in those conditions? Asked on 12/13/2012 by Donna from Springville, Utah Know the answer? Answer this question 4 answers A: I've used it in the pool. Just rinse it out well after and let it line dry Answered on 12/14/2012 by Kathy from Fenton Mo A: Donna, chlorine is rough on neoprene, but taking some simple steps can greatly extend the life of the wetsuit. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after every use. Also, McNett Wetsuit & Drysuit Shampoo, Item # 2249, helps remove chlorine residue. Enjoy! Answered on 12/13/2012 by Clyde from NRS A: Hi, Sorry, we've not used our wetsuits in pools, so I have no experience on this to offer. We're pleased with them otherwise. Mary Norton Answered on 12/13/2012 by Pond duck from Snoqualmie, WA A: I use it all the time kayaking in saltwater. It doesn't even look worn. As far as chlorine, it's been in pool water maybe 10-15 times and haven't noticed any problems with the product. It's very comfortable. Sent from my iPad Answered on 12/14/2012 by Anonymous
NRS Women's Little Jane Wetsuit - Closeout Q: If I wear a size 8, will the Medium be the correct size? I need extra room in the hips. Thanks. Asked on 9/15/2012 by Robin from Catskill, NY Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Yes, should be around a size 8. Here is the specific sizing for a Medium: Size Height Weight (lbs) Bust Waist Hips M 5'5"-5'8" 130-155 33"-37" 29"-33" 38"-42" Answered on 9/24/2012 by Pam from NRS
NRS Women's Little Jane Wetsuit - Closeout Q: I wear a small in the nrs capris (although the size chart says I should be a medium). Some have said this suit runs small. Based on wearing a small in the capris, should I order a small or medium in this wetsuit? Thanks! Asked on 9/11/2012 by Vicki from NJ Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: I was in the same situation (5'6" 130 lbs) hovering between small and medium, and ended up getting the small. We actually ended up with a second one to share with my two daughters and I. They are 5'5" and about 110 lbs, and about 125 lbs. The suits are quite stretchy. The one area I feel it is a little small on me is the trunk length (shoulders to crotch) but the suit is so stretchy that it doesn't seem to matter. I'm glad I got the small, as I'd rather have a tighter fit than too loose. Where do you live? You could try mine on! We're in Snoqualmie, outside Seattle. Mary Answered on 9/11/2012 by Pond duck from Snoqualmie, WA A: I think this suit runs small Kim Maskalenko CA DFG Natural Resources Volunteer Sent from my iPad Answered on 9/11/2012 by Anonymous
NRS Women's Little Jane Wetsuit - Closeout Q: I am buying my first wet suit...will be using it for kayaking. I am concerned about sizing. According to chart for weight and height I should order a Large but looking at bust and hip measurements it should be an x-large. Which should i choose? Asked on 9/8/2012 by ebonyrose from usa Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: I would probably go with the XL Answered on 9/10/2012 by Anonymous A: Generally weight is the best tie-breaker when all measurements in the sizing chart don't agree. I'm guessing the XL might fit best. However, since this is your first wetsuit, I'd recommend buying both sizes and keeping the one you like best. Our Hassle-Free return is Free! FYI, a wetsuit should fit snug, "skin tight", but not anaconda-squeeze restrictive. Answered on 9/10/2012 by Clyde from NRS A: I would suggest the x-large. The bust and hip measurements were accurate. My medium size wet suit fits me perfectly and I followed the measurements guide. Enjoy! Merchant response: Always rinse neoprene pieces thoroughly in fresh water after pool sessions. The high chlorine content in pools is hard on neoprene.
