I teach swimming lesson for 6 to 7 hrs., daily, and the wetsuit helps me retain my body heat.
I like the sleeveless feature as it allows me free movement when demonstrating technique.
The front zipper allows easy in/out.

The cloth covering seems to deteriorate fairly quickly. After it has ripped, it exposes the seems which then split.

I am a full busted woman. I wear the XXL full length Farmer Jane wet suit. I was told there is no XXL Little Jane, but knew I really needed the shorty, so I am squeezing into the XL. Wish they were bigger in the bust.

I have only had it for a few weeks, but wore it kayaking in Pocono creeks several times. Works fine maintaining body temperature. Don't know how it will be when the weather heats up or how it will wear. Hard to get mud off it.

Comments about NRS Women's Little Jane Wetsuit - Closeout:

I'm a newbie kayaker and found I was too chilled my first two lessons (even in an indoor pool) to make the best of the lesson. I wanted a suit to keep my core warm and thought the Little Jane fit looked like it would do the job. It does! I am very pleased with its warmth, the true to size fit and the sleek color block aesthetics. I'm looking forward to snorkeling with it in the colder Canadian lakes we summer by. I'm also looking forward to extending my paddle season at those same lakes. I can't speak to its durability yet as I've only had it for a short time but so far it's looking great. I especially like how easy it is to pull on and off and I think the zipper closures look sturdy. So far I'm giving it a five star rating. I hope it stands the test of time and think it will.

Hi guys. I'm 5'5", 177 lbs, bust 37", waist measured at navel as 36", and hips 44" to 44.5" and am trying to decide between the large and extra-large suit. Can you help? I'm buying internationally so I'd prefer not to have to return a suit. Thanks.

              For what it is worth . . .I am 5'6", 135#, bust 37", hips 38". I got the
small size to be able to share the suits with my slightly smaller daughters.
The length is about right, and it fits my daughters well. It's a little
snuggish on me, but works OK as it is pretty stretchy material, and I'd
rather have it snug than loose.
              Good luck-sorry I can't help more.

Hi, our women customer service folks say they think the Large suit will be the best fit for you. Unfortunately, this closeout model is only still available in Medium and X-Large. You can take a chance on the sale item in XL or go with the Large in the redesigned model, # 22161, which has just been spruced up with different color blocking, purely cosmetic changes.

              Hi, Alice!
I recently got a new Medium wetsuit that fits me well without being too tight, but I’m a normal size 10. I would not recommend getting a wetsuit that is too small for any part of your body, as you may diminish your overall flexibility or the ability to breathe freely (been there, hated that). If you feel that your dimensions are too disproportionate, you might consider a dry suit instead, which does not have to fit tightly in any area except the gaskets, and you can fill the hip area with extra layers of fleece. I hope you get additional feedback from other women.
              Happy paddling!

Donna, chlorine is rough on neoprene, but taking some simple steps can greatly extend the life of the wetsuit. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after every use. Also, McNett Wetsuit & Drysuit Shampoo, Item # 2249, helps remove chlorine residue. Enjoy!

I was in the same situation (5'6" 130 lbs) hovering between small and
medium, and ended up getting the small. We actually ended up with a second
one to share with my two daughters and I. They are 5'5" and about 110 lbs,
and about 125 lbs. The suits are quite stretchy. The one area I feel it is
a little small on me is the trunk length (shoulders to crotch) but the suit
is so stretchy that it doesn't seem to matter. I'm glad I got the small, as
I'd rather have a tighter fit than too loose.
Where do you live? You could try mine on! We're in Snoqualmie, outside

Generally weight is the best tie-breaker when all measurements in the sizing chart don't agree. I'm guessing the XL might fit best. However, since this is your first wetsuit, I'd recommend buying both sizes and keeping the one you like best. Our Hassle-Free return is Free! FYI, a wetsuit should fit snug, "skin tight", but not anaconda-squeeze restrictive.
