Q:
I'm looking for a wetsuit to use while whitewater kayaking in the spring and the fall. I've been using a sit-on-top kayak, which pretty much guarantees that I get wet! I tried on the Ultra 3.0 in a store and it was comfortable, but I wonder if it is warmer and thicker than I need. What is the recommended usage of the 2.0 versus the 3.0? Kristin, how one dresses really depends on the water temperature, how long you'll be in the water if you do go in, your ability to self rescue, etc.The boater's mantra is "dress for the swim." The Ultra Jane obviously has a third more insulation value. Without knowing what conditions you'll be kayaking in it's impossible to advise you.
