Kokatat Men's Gore-Tex® Meridian Drysuit with Relief Zipper-GMER Q: I have an unusual body. Over 6' tall with a 29" inseam. Very long torso. My legs look like I should be 5 feet tall and my torso looks like I should be 7 feet tall. What size Kokatat Men's Gore-Tex Meridian Drysuit would fit this strange body? Asked on 1/29/2013 by Farfel — 'cause I like chocolate from Fresno, CA Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: I think if you're over 6 ft you'll need an x-lg. Good luck... Answered on 1/30/2013 by Anonymous A: Sounds like you will need a custom fit. If you want a great drysuit and are willing to spend the money, might as well get the right fit...contact Kokatat. Answered on 1/31/2013 by Anonymous A: Sounds like you're a good candidate for some custom modifications to your GMER. Kokatat can lengthen the torso and shorten the legs. Give us a call, 800.635.5202, and we can help you decide. While you're at it, mention your shoe size. Answered on 1/30/2013 by Clyde from NRS
Kokatat Men's Gore-Tex® Meridian Drysuit with Relief Zipper-GMER Q: I am 6 - 4 (205lbs) with a 35 inch inseam. 42 inch chest. It seems that the large would be too small/short and XL or XXL might give me the length but would fit like a balloon. Suggestions? Asked on 12/29/2012 by Chris from Newfoundland, Canada Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Hi, I'm 6' 200lbs with 34'' inseam and the Large is fine in leg length, but I end up contorting myself getting into the arms. I sold my old XL to a guy who is 6'4'' and ~200, and he says it fits great. Pat Answered on 12/29/2012 by Anonymous A: Hi Chris, I have used the Kokatat Meridian extensively for 4 years now...overskirt, relief zipper, goretex booties...definitely a top of the line drysuit. I'm about 5'10" 165lb sz 10 boots and squeeze into a medium...it fits great, but a tight squeeze to get my head in although it's sized to 6 feet. I would recommend finding a shop you could try on the XL. Once you have an idea how you fit in the standard size, you might consider calling Kokatat about custom sizing...for a longer leg cut, proper placement for the relief zipper, best bootie sizing. I don't think a custom suit costs much more and when you're spending that kind of money on a drysuit, a custom fit would be worth the cost. If you love to paddle, a quality proper fitting drysuit will get you out on those cold weather days. Good luck, Jim Answered on 12/29/2012 by Anonymous
Kokatat Men's Gore-Tex® Meridian Drysuit with Relief Zipper-GMER Q: Clyde had suggested I order a M and L drysuit to see which one fit and return the other. Since the L is not in stock I could order the M that is in stock and if it's too small then return for a backordered L which is supposed to be in stock mid Jan? All I would have to do is pay the return shipping? Asked on 11/21/2012 by VB from Cumming GA Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer Kokatat Men's Gore-Tex® Meridian Drysuit with Relief Zipper-GMER Q: Clyde couldn't give me a definate answer on Medium or Large without my measurments so here they are. Chest 40", Waist 36", Hips 40", inseam 32", Sleeve 34", height 5'8", 165 lbs. I've read you should measure wearing some fleece or what you would wear under the drysuit and these measurements are to the skin instead. Another reason I'm thinking I should go with a large. Asked on 11/19/2012 by VB from Cumming GA Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: I think a Large would be good for you. I have chest of 46 and inseam 30 and weigh 220 and the XL is perfect for me. Bryan COL Bryan Stewart Seminar 9, United States Army War College Answered on 11/20/2012 by Bryan from Carlisle, Pennsylvania A: Most of your measurements are right in the Medium. The ones that aren't are in the slimmer area of the suit. I do have a concern that you'll find the Large too tall. If possible, see if one of our dealers is near you - http://www.nrsweb.com/services/dealerlocator.asp?tn=281 - If not, go for the Large, or if you can afford it order both. We have a great free returns process. Answered on 11/20/2012 by Clyde from NRS
Kokatat Men's Gore-Tex® Meridian Drysuit with Relief Zipper-GMER Q: Another size question. My measurements are split between M and Large without any fuzzy clothing on like I would be wearing on the river. My gut is to go with the large based on other comments. Does that sound right? Asked on 11/18/2012 by VB from Cumming GA Know the answer? Answer this question 6 answers A: I'm 5'10" and 165, and I needed the large. I think they fit a little on the small side. Hope that helps Answered on 11/19/2012 by Anonymous A: Yes, I would go up if between sizes. I was closer to a large but went with the xl and am glad i did. Answered on 11/20/2012 by Anonymous A: Without your measurements it's hard to say. However, it's better to have a drysuit a bit too large than a bit too small. Once you evacuate out the excess air and put on your life jacket on, some extra material doesn't create a problem. Answered on 11/19/2012 by Clyde from NRS A: That does sound right. The Kokatat sizing guide is off a bit. The sizing guide put me into a Large. But after trying on the Large it was too tight around the chest so I opted for an XL and that is perfect. And with layering behind the drysuit, I'd recommend going with the larger size. Bob Answered on 11/20/2012 by Anonymous A: Assuming your measurements are uniformly split between M/L, I would definitely go with a L. Not only is it the measurements, but it is also the ease of getting into/out of the drysuit. You can also have Kokatat custom make you one, half medium, half large. Answered on 11/18/2012 by Anonymous A: Sorry. Just cleaning up my e-mails. If you're still on the fence, I'm about 5'10" 165lb and have a medium...fits great. If I was an inch taller, I'd go with a large due to length. That being said, I'd rather squeeze into a dry suit and have it fit right...well proportioned...than be easy to get on and too baggy. If you're spending the $$ on a Kokatat, I think you can get a custom fit for just a bit more $. Might be worth contacting them direct. Good Luck and happy paddling! Answered on 12/4/2012 by Anonymous
Kokatat Men's Gore-Tex® Meridian Drysuit with Relief Zipper-GMER Q: I'm 5'10" 34" waist. I have a 47" chest. Would a large be to small in the chest? XL be to loose everywhere else? Asked on 10/3/2012 by Dirte' from Washington Know the answer? Answer this question 7 answers A: Hi, I'm 6'0'' with a 48'' chest, and the large works fine, though it is tight getting it on over my shoulders and arms. I have 35'' sleeve length. Once it is on, it is good. Kokatat will custom size one for you, a large bottom XL top, if you give them a call. Pat Answered on 10/3/2012 by Anonymous A: I have a 48 chest and a 38 waist. The XL is fine in the chest a bit tight at the waist, and the legs are baggy, but that's OK. I would definitely go with the XL as it will fit your chest and waist perfectly, and baggy pants shouldn't be a problem in a dry suit. Bryan COL Bryan Stewart Seminar 9, United States Army War College Answered on 10/3/2012 by Anonymous A: If a questioner is compared with me Height is 13cm of △ abbreviation from m The waist is almost the same. The girth of the chest is 20cm of + abbreviation. It thinks in what kind of co ld district environment or a warm region (snow rarely lies also in winter) in which I live although it is unknown. Although it is because what it wears to インナー, I think whether consider the girth of the chest and to be O.K.! in L size, if it is me. (Although written as 46 inches of MAX(s) in the size table ...) *I have M saize! Toyoteru Yoshikawa Answered on 10/3/2012 by [...]・Uncle Teddy from Osaka JAPAN A: I'm that same size and the large fits great. Lots of room to wear a heavier layer if needed in the really cold. Cheers Mike Answered on 10/3/2012 by Anonymous A: I would go with the XL. I am 6'-1" with a 34" waist, 34" inseam and 44" chest; it fits me just right. You will have some type of thermal layer under it and in my opinion it is better loose than tight. I tried a large on first and it was too restrictive and my range of motion was not good. Best bet would be to try one on first as it is a pretty big investment, but one i am happy i made. Answered on 10/4/2012 by Anonymous A: I'm similar size and the large fits me well. Answered on 10/4/2012 by Anonymous A: I'm 5'10-1/2", 190 lbs. with a 34 inch waist and the large was too small for me. It was too tight in the chest. The Kokatat sizing guide does not run true to size. While the XL is a little loose in the lower body, it fits well in the chest and upper body. Answered on 10/5/2012 by Anonymous

Kokatat Men's Gore-Tex® Meridian Drysuit with Relief Zipper-GMER Q: Im 6'4 and 98kg. Would the XL be for me? Also does the Blue one come with the reflective tap eon the arms? Asked on 9/19/2012 by Cuzzie from Ashville NC Know the answer? Answer this question 4 answers A: Im 6 foot 4 also and use the xl expedition kokatat, it fits perfectly! Sent from my Alaska Communications Android Answered on 9/19/2012 by Anonymous A: I am about the same size and have a XXL. It fits perfectly. Answered on 9/20/2012 by Anonymous A: I'm 5'10" and 190 lbs and the XL fits me. The XL is a generous fit which is good for layering. The Kokatat sizing guide put me into a Large. But I tried on a Large and it was too snug, it didn't fit. Bob Answered on 9/20/2012 by Anonymous A: you need to get an XXL - I went with the XL and it is too small for me (and I am barley 6'1"). No tape. Answered on 9/20/2012 by Bri from 80027
Kokatat Men's Gore-Tex® Meridian Drysuit with Relief Zipper-GMER Q: I am 5'10", 165 lbs. Thinking about going w/ a large for layering on a winter grand canyon trip. Sound like a good idea? thanks. Asked on 9/16/2012 by Sleezy e from Denver, CO Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: At 5'9 165 I have plenty of room for winter layers. It both matters and doesn't. They fit baggy so it isn't like you can go really wrong. Much of the extra bulk is under your pfd. But I swim a lot so I like a little less drag. Summary: go medium. Answered on 9/16/2012 by Anonymous A: I am also 5' 10'' and 165lbs. I would definitely go with the large and get the fleecy union suit as a base layer. The medium would be restrictive and a real pain just to get on. Answered on 9/16/2012 by Anonymous
Kokatat Men's Gore-Tex® Meridian Drysuit with Relief Zipper-GMER Q: Trying to figure out what size drysuit to get from Kokatat (Medium or Large). I'm 5'9 170lbs with 34 waist and 41 chest. Do these drysuits run small or big or true to size? Regards, D Asked on 9/12/2012 by D. from NC Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: They run true to size. You fit a Medium on the sizing chart. Answered on 9/24/2012 by Pam from NRS
