Comments about Kokatat Tropos Light Storm Cag:

A group of us decided to get together and celebrate Groundhog Day and paddle the Etowah River in Georgia. One member of the group forgot their sprayskirt. The Kokatat Storm Cag saved the day so that all of us could enjoy a day on the river.

Comments about Kokatat Tropos Light Storm Cag:

This is an essential part of any sea kayaker's kit. I carry it on every trip from day paddles to multi day camping trips and while doing the WaterTribe Everglades Challenge, Cross Florida Challenge, Ultimate Florida Challenge, and North Carolina Challenge.

I have a very large cockpit and this storm cag fits. Being able to put it on over my lighter paddling jacket and life jacket is a real bonus when foul weather sets in.

Great piece of gear but designed for Seakayaks. It will not stretch to fit those long open cockpits.

No, it won't fit a pongo, the cockpit is too big.

Just checked Storm Cag on Delta 15.5 with cockpit 32x18 inch. Pongo has 57x22 inch cockpit. Storm cag will fit up to 40x20 but will not fit Pongo.

The Storm Cag Skirt will fit cockpits up to 21.5"W x 38"L.
The cockpit size of a Pungo is 22"W x 57"L.
So no I don't think it will fit.

It fits the 36" coming on my Waters Dancing with no problem- there is a lot of leeway so to speak.

There is plenty of adjustment in the tropos storm cag. It should fit easily.

            Chip,
We have 2 P & H Scorpio's (One an LV) with similar size coaming dimensions to your Epix sitting on my car. I just took a cag out and there is room to accomodate a larger coaming by several inches without a problem ,so...yes, you should be fine. The adjuster on the stetchable drawstring makes sizing quick and easy. The cags are great on the water and should be on every cruiser's want list. Chance of T-storms tomorrow so..I tossed 2 in the bag with the spray decks and PFD's.
            Paddle like you mean it!

I used the Cag extensively in a Valley Explorer that should be about the same size as the Epic cockpit. The Epic's cockpit is wider at the bow end. That is the only detail I'm not sure of. This product was an appreciated tool during a southern Chile trip where it rained continuously for 9 of 14 days. There are lots of excellent products that serve as rainwear but no other is as easy to put on or take off on the water.
