I needed a gasket repair and I needed it quick. NRS employees reacted with a calm, dedicated approach. They laid out the gme plan and executed. Within 2 weeks my drysuit was back in my hands in PA, and my trip to the Grand Canyon was saved. The weather in February was tough and the drysuit was a must have item. Thanks guys.

The product I am writing about has already failed. I had this brand new neck gasket on my drysuit for barely over a month, before it ripped off from the bottom up, then spiraled around the lower part of the gasket just above the glue line. I have never seen a gasket rip from the bottom up before. For a brand new product I am very let down, and frustrated to once again be repairing my drysuit instead of paddling. This has been my first experience with NRS gaskets, didn't make the best first impression but due to the availability of the small size at my local shop I'm giving it another shot.

I have been paddeling since I lived in Moscow, ID in 1993. These guys at NRS are the best. Their customer service is top notch and they are truely craftsmen. I had blown out my neck gasket close to the seam of the dry top. I thought for sure that the dry top was shot. The repair department at NRS has shocked me once again. Not only were they able to repair it but they made it look brand new. They put in a new gasket at the seam and seam taped it so it is totally water tight.

If my body can keep up with paddeling for another 19 years, I am confident that NRS will take care of my equipment needs for that duration. Thanks so much!

NRS did a quick neck gasket replacement on my dry suit. I've used it for several days of kayaking, and it is water tight.

I need a new latex neck gasket for my drysuit but am not sure whether to get a size small or medium. My neck is 12" in circumference.

My neck is 12 1/2".  I always get the small neck gasket.  It may be a little tight at first, but stretches out.  It can always be trimmed slightly if too tight.

                                      Hi Sarah,
I have a Kokatat drysuit Lg size which came with a Lg sz neck gasket so that's what I've used for sizing on my replacement gaskets. I see the NRS Lg is for 15" to 18" circ and I measure 14" circ at largest point(around Adam's apple). I still have to do a moderate amount of stretching on the new neck gasket after I've glued it on the suit. Check the size on your suit since that's probably the neck gasket size it came with. My thought is the less you have to stretch a new gasket...the longer the life of it. You probably would do fine with a medium. If you have a local kayak shop which sells them, I would buy it there. Just slip it on before you buy it. NRS does give good replacement instructions. A good form makes it much easier. Good luck and happy paddling.

If get a small and it is too small you can stretch it or cut it larger (carefully), then get a medium next time. If you get a medium and it's too big, not much you can do about that. Lamar
