Replacement shoe for my old Desperado Shoe. The sole seems just a bit beefier to reduce the pain of walking over pointy rocks and pebbles. The gray material used nearest the sole seems more neoprene like and a little softer.

The fit is similar in length but narrower in the toe box than previous years models.

I'm a whitewater kayaker. I got this shoe because my last pair came off my feet one day when I ended up swimming through a Class III rapid. These are snug. They are very comfortable and work well on land although I wouldn't want to go on a long portage with them over rough terrain because they bottom is pretty thin. My only complaints are that they can be really hard to get on and off, that they take forever to dry, which I think is consequence of the snug design and they have worn out in side earlier than I expected. That said, I'm probably going to buy another pair because I think they are some of the best shoes on the market.

this bootie is very comfortable, pair with sandals for solid footbed while rafting, or by themselves inside a small volume cockpit. I bought this wonderful product and guided two river seasons in them, and additional years since kayaking and other aqua-indulgences, although a bit stinky, these are still an essential part of my whitewater gear. Price point is great for those getting into whitwewater. Stitching, drawcord and toggle all still in great condition after 6 seasons. Thanks for such good products and great customer service. And by the way, do you have any job openings?? lol

Desperado shoe comes in Men's sizes. I am female, but wear a size 9 men's
shoe and find these fit pretty true to size. If you intend to wear them
over a drysuit foot, but sure to size up a little.

Hi - I am a male and I bought my regular size and they fit perfectly - so assume they are men's, however I think if you bought a smaller size they would be fine for women.

This is indeed a good match Assuming that you have gortex booties in your
dry suit. Be sure to enough room for thick socks under the gortex when you
size the boot. Also, I always drill a couple of 1/8" holes in the sole of
the boot to allow water to drain more easily.

I am not familiar with the dry suit so I don't know if they are a good match. These boots will not keep your feet dry but are of good quality.

These are sized for men. However, the largest sizes run small. You want to
buy them on the larger size if you are going to wear them over a dry suit
and especially if you're wearing socks to keep your feet warmer.
