Great product for surf fishing. I have a wide 9.5 foot and have trouble finding comfortable shoes. The toebox on this shoe is cut wide so the #10 was a comfortable fit + I can even wear the wetsocks as a base layer in cold temps.
The cross-4 Wetshoe, on the hand, did not fit my feet!

Bought these for use in a Surfski for winter paddling. These replaced a pair of NRS Desperados that were too cold in anything under 45°. The Desperados are too narrow and have absorbent synthetic letter over the toes and this causes issues with evaperative cooling. The NRS Paddling Wetshoe has a nice wise toe box and rubber over the toes eliminating evaperative cooling there. These two things alown go a long ways to making these warmer than any booties I have ever had. The fuzzy lining and nice quality neoprene help even more. Sizing is a bit odd. My foot measures to 9 1/2 but i usually buy a 10 because of my wide feet. I had a chance to try on 10's and 11's and chose the 11's. The 11's are still snug and my toe is near the end of the box. My foot doesn't slip around at all and it's by far the most comfortable booty I have ever had. I can put on a medium weight wool sock if I want and it still feels roomy yet without the sock my foot doesn't float around at all.... Nice trick! If my foot was in and out of cold water a lot I would get a zipperless boot as the water exchange would be cut down a lot. But if you feet stay out of the water most of the time these will be a good choice for keeping your toes toasy.... Got to love that wide toe box! For me these leave me with toasty toes when it's 35° out and my feet are wet out in the wind... Perfect.

You should order a couple of sized and try them. Sizes can't be judged in a straight forward manner between the different model wetshoes and how the foot frame corresponds to size.

I'm afraid I can't answer your question exactly, but I can tell you that they fit to size, ie I (a man) have always worn size 12 men's shoes and the NRS fits perfectly. So a men's 12 is a men's 12. I am not wearing any neoprene socks. I could fit a thin pair under, but they would be snug. I don't think they are meant to wear with neo socks. The booties have a very comfortable lining that feels like fur, but obviously isn't. I would wear them around the house because they are so comfortable, but my feet get too hot! I just bought a pair, wear a mens size 11 street shoe and bought these in size 11. Wore them over a midweight smart wool alpine ski sock and the latex bootie on my dry suit, it was a tight fit but I was able to get them zipped and paddled for over 4 hours with no discomfort.

The top of size 11s is 8 inches. But these wetshoes are not waterproof. Think in terms of a wetsuit, tho they are much dryer than a wetsuit.
Beside sea kayaking, I use these shoes, with hydo-skin socks, to go walk along the seashore during the winter. With 40 deg water, in 40 degree air & wind, my feet are comfortable after being in the water most of the time, but they are not dry after sometime of doing that. The top is about 7-8" high, but there is a zipper that will let water enter in anything deeper than a couple of inches. They are meant to let water in, not keep it out. They are basically very sturdy, thick scuba diving booties with a lot of protection. I just got mine and haven't used them yet, but they seem ideal for fishing on flats with rocks, coral, etc. The sole is thick and sturdy and looks like it will hold up to anything.Answered on 3/28/2013 by Anonymous

I have the NRS dry-suit that incorporates a rubber bootie. For myself, having a light wool sock under the dry-suit rubber bootie, the bootie itself, and one XL hydroskin sock over that yields the need for a 2 size over wetshoe.
I use the Paddle Wetshoe because it has the side zipper that helps ( a lot) fit the wetshoe over the dry suit/shoe assembly.
I got two sizes of the Paddle Wetshoe because I love the fit. I also have the NRS Attack shoe, and the Paddle Wetshoe is more true to the shape of my forefoot and toe box.
Off hand, having used dry suits with goretex socks, I don't think you would have any problem with the Paddle Wetshoe depending on how you choose to size the shoe.

I just received a pair of these shoes - size 9...question is - will they stretch over time, my street shoe size is a 9 and my toes are brushing the end of the toes in these shoes. other than that, they feel great, these are my first paddle shoes and was curious if that is the normal feel until broken it. i really dont want to go to a 10, but not sure.
