I use these shoes for kayaking, from the Maine coast to the lakes in the adirondacks. I like that these shoes have a very good sole for climbing in and out of my kayak,on any surface. They are comfortable and do not restrict my foot movement on my rudder pedals at all. I wear them from spring until late fall, great for what it is designed for....I had 1 issue, after 10 uses the stitching began to unravel,I don't know if I got them caught on something or if it was just poorly stitched,NRS promptly replaced them, even shipped express delivery so as I would not miss my upcoming trip,,,,great company to do business with!

It is a coincidence you contacted me about this product, because I was going to contact you. I wore these in the spring and had just begun to wear them this fall, and I noticed they are already wearing out. There are two holes worn in one sole, and the rubber on one side is starting to peel off. Otherwise, I really like there booties, and I'll repair them as necessary, to keep them going, but it seems really soon to be having to do that.

Comments about NRS Sasquatch Wetshoe - Closeout:

Best grip I've had since felt soles (no longer used due to rock snot transfer). Maybe the 5 10 soles grip better but those are WAY pricey. No longer feel the rocks on the trail hiking in and out like my old booties. Too bad they're discontinued

Comments about NRS Sasquatch Wetshoe - Closeout:

I only have 4 floats with these shoes and am a bit new to what's out there. I do have to say that these shoes without a doubt keep my feet warm in the runoff, they are thick enough in the toes to protect from a stubbing, and they just feel like a thick plush pair of cabin socks or slippers. I like them a lot. I feel like they are constructed to last for years and that they will hold up to a lot of heavy use.
I do have to speak on one negative point though, I wouldn't plan on walking miles on pavement in these shoes. During a recent shuttle I needed to walk a 1/4 mile and felt too much farther would have started to work the feet. That neg. is probably me expecting too much from a whitewater shoe, but they are pretty sweet none the less. If you will be hiking or walking any great distances, I would look into something more designed for that kind of use.

I got the next whole size up (I wear 10.5 and got 11's). They work for me
over a dry suit just fine. I wear them for both with drysuit and bare
feet. If you want really comfortable, go up a size.

They fit fairly tight so I would suggest two sizes up.

This shoe runs about 1/2 size small. Depending on the thickness of insulation you wear inside the dry suit socks, you'll want to go up one or two sizes.

I ordered mine the same size as my street shoes. I wear a 1 1/2 mm neoprene
sock with mine sometimes and it's not tight at all. Drysuit and fleece maybe a
size bigger but they are generous in their sizing.

i wear a size twelve and they are a little tight over dry suit bootys but not bad, i would say a half size bigger if they come in it

I dont have a camera right now, but I can tell you that the traction is right on. I spent a long time in these walking on slippery rocks and they do fine. A world better than wool socks, and not quite as good as a straight felt sole.

Honestly, worst shoe i have ever bought, no traction, after only about four uses they fell apart. Although i am pleased with many nrs products unfortunately this is not one of them.
