NRS ATB Wetshoe Q: I wear a size 11 , do I need a 12 or 13 to wear over dry suit latex socks with wool socks inside, I have poor circulation so I need to wear extra sometimes but cant stand for it to be too tight Asked on 2/17/2013 by riverpapa from lynchburg,Va Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: I wear size 10 1/2-11 shoes and I wear size 11 ATBs with latex socks and a wool sock underneath and they're fine. Sounds like you might be a candidate for a size 12 so you can add thicker layers. Answered on 2/21/2013 by Clyde from NRS
NRS ATB Wetshoe Q: Is this shoe suitable for wearing over dry suit booties? Would I need to go up a size for this? Asked on 10/1/2012 by Capt C-Hawk from Maryland Know the answer? Answer this question 6 answers A: I bought my regular size & they fit well. I wear them with a footed drysuit regularly, no problem. They seem well-made & are holding up well to my abuse. I definitely recommend them. Sent from my iPhone Answered on 10/1/2012 by Anonymous A: HALLO, DEPENDS ON THE TYPE OF FIT HAS THE DRY SUIT, RUBBER OR NEOPRENE CIAO MARINO Answered on 10/1/2012 by Anonymous A: With the zippered, gusseted opening these shoes work great. Fit depends on the bulk of the dry suit socks. I wear mine with our latex socks without having to go up a size. Answered on 10/1/2012 by Clyde from NRS A: I would go up a 1/2 size or a whole if you want to wear neoprene socks also. Answered on 10/1/2012 by Anonymous A: I went one size up to accommodate the 3.5 mm neoprene booties on my waders. I wear a 9.5 so went to an 11 for the extra room. (I normally wear a 10 wetshoe with HydroSkin socks) Works great as lightweight wader boots while surf casting sandy beaches. Answered on 10/2/2012 by Weatherman from NE Pennsylvania A: I love these boots and do use them over neoprene booties of waders but they are the same as my dry-suit booties as well. I'll look tonight and verify what size boots I bought to see if I bought them oversize. Sent from my iPhone Answered on 10/1/2012 by AKThom from Eagle River, Alaska
NRS ATB Wetshoe Q: What type of sock should be worn? Or no sock? Is that just a personal preference? thanks! Asked on 10/1/2012 by KY Paddler from Kentucky Know the answer? Answer this question 10 answers A: It's a personal preference. I generally wear my booties without socks, but have occasionally worn socks for a tighter fit or if I'm in really cold water Answered on 10/1/2012 by BobtheBoater from Charleston WV A: I wear it over my dry suit rubber bottoms and I wear a thin pol-pro sock inside the dry suit. Sent from Dave's iPhone! Answered on 10/1/2012 by Anonymous A: socks or no socks with wet shoe is a personal preference. I vary, usually with temperatures, often without any kind of socks. A thin sock liner sometimes feels nice and helps control odor but doesn't add insulation. In very cold temperatures, I might use a hydroskin sock or even the gore-tex, built in socks of my drysuit. Answered on 10/1/2012 by Anonymous A: I have this same shoe and I love it. No need for socks. It's soft inside and stays warm. It's good for walking on rough terrain and stays on if you go for a swim. Jared Answered on 10/1/2012 by Anonymous A: Definitely personal preference. The 5-mm thick neoprene provides lots of wearing warmth. A sock, either a polypro-type or thin neoprene, like HydroSkin, can give abrasion protection. Answered on 10/1/2012 by Clyde from NRS A: Most of the time I wear them without socks. Answered on 10/1/2012 by Anonymous A: I use this boot with a Gore-Tex dry suit (my feet are dry). I wear wool socks under my dry suit. I purchased a size 10 which is what my normal shoe size is. It fits well and is warm. If you are not wearing a dry suit I would either wear wool socks or nothing. Hope this helps! Craig Answered on 10/1/2012 by Anonymous A: I usually prefer to wear socks of some description with the wet boots for at least three reasons. It has helped with keeping the accumulation of wet boots odor at bay, it helps with wear and tear on the bootie, and it is generally more comfortable to me. What type of sock do I prefer? I have nearly always worn wool socks, but that is as much due to my feet tending to be cold more often than not as much as anything else. All that said, I have worn the booties with no socks many times through the warm paddling months, but if I have them, I generally wear the wool socks even in the summer. Hope this helps answer your question. Answered on 10/1/2012 by Anonymous A: I wear boots without socks. Find that most comfortable. Socks can fall down into boot. Also don't have to deal with wet dirty socks afterwards. Allan Sent from my iPhone Answered on 10/1/2012 by Allan from Houston A: It depends on the weather and water conditions. You do not need to wear any socks with these boots, but I often wear neoprene socks with these boots for even extra warmth because I am prone to cold feet. For colder conditions, I wear the neoprene socks, or waterproof socks, or wool socks underneath my drysuit, and these boots over the drysuit booties. Answered on 10/17/2012 by Anonymous
