I use these year round on the central coast of california. I do tend to run a bit on the cold side compared to other paddlers. I do like a full glove rather than fingerless gloves. I usually get small, but these run small so I got medium. These are my favorite gloves, got 2 pair.

Comments about NRS Women's HydroSkin Gloves:

These gloves were ordered for our spring and fall Stand Up Paddling and they are perfect. Not to bulky and yet offering good warmth. The grips are super sticky (almost to much so) and never slip wet or dry. Very pleased with these and highly recommend them.

        Service and delivery comments:

This order was lost by the courier (not the fault of NRS) so it took a very long time to be delivered.. However NRS once contacted was really good with there follow up and was ready to resend the order but the order was found and delivered before we got to that step.

No, they do keep your hands warmer and prevent chopping though.

                  Hi carol
I purchased these for a friend. We flat water kayak and the winter has been cold. She never complains her hands are cold even with the water that runs down the paddle. I would say for our use yes they are, I can't for sure how much so if you plan to boat in whitewater. If it helps I have been thinking about buying a pair for myself.
I hope I have been helpful. Wish it was more.

No, they are neoprene and act like a wetsuit does (thin later of water warms up to insulate the hands).

The gloves are not "waterproof" per se, but are more like a wetsuit for your hands. The gloves protect your hands, but your hands will still get wet.

They were water resistant, but not waterproof. They held off the water pretty well, though. They ran a little small. I ordered the medium and wish I would have ordered the large - hard to get on/off and it seems my fingers are colder with the gloves fitting so tight. I do like them, though. I think there was an option to add a fleece liner. If so, go for the larger size and get the liner.

These gloves are as waterproof as a paddling glove can be, which is to say some water does penetrate.  I like them, but they run really small.  I usually wear a small and the medium in these is almost too tight for me.  I use them year round on the coast of California in the bay.  Hope that helps

They will shed splashed water for sure and will keep your hands dry when you put them under water briefly (waterline below wrists). I can't say anymore about them - I used them for a week paddling Lake Superior in the late Fall and my hands were always warm and dry.

I use these gloves for  late fall / winter / early spring kayaking. I can't say I've actually fully submerged my hand while wearing them but I've been splashed and gotten them wet and they have still kept my hands  comfortable in these conditions. I've been happy with them. Sorry I couldn't give a yes or no answer. I will have to test that in the future. BTW they do run on the small side.  Hope this helps.

The material itself is waterproof, but the seams are not. For truly waterproof gloves take a look at the Rogue and Maverick gloves.
