These gloves are great for whitewater and marathon canoeing and canoe racing. I initially got them for sun protection, but now also appreciate the absence of blisters. They fit snugly and do not get in the way at all. I find them to be more comfortable then paddling with bare hands. Their one downside is that after a couple of seasons, they wear out.

For the price these gloves are great. I have not found a pair of boating/rafting gloves that do not wear quickly. First time out I noted palm material was starting to pill at the points of contact. Think i will stick with padded mechanics or shooters gloves after these wear through. If you want long distance gloves spring for heavier material and better padding.

Great fitting glove that is not too bulky - still allows you to open dry boxes, adjust straps and push buttons on your gps. Keeps the chill off during those cooler mornings.

I have been paddling a rough wooden demo Greenland paddle for a while and kept getting blisters, even with the 3/4 glove. This model fixed the problem. Too soon to tell how it will standup, but so far so good.

Comments about NRS Men's Rafter's Gloves:

The sizing varied from the half finger to the full glove. I should have returned for a smaller size but needed the gloves for an event. Great glove other than the sizing.

                  Q:

The width of my hand is about 3.75 inches and the length is 7.5 inches. Is the large or the medium a better choice?

They stretch out with use so when in doubt go w/ the smaller size. Source:

I would go with large, I'm just under those measurements by a 1/4" or so
and use medium but I'm right at the end of the non-stretch fabrics.
The large should fit fine due to the elastic back without being too loose
                    in my opinion.
