Recommend trying them in pool sessions or in a warm up prior to flipping on the river. I personally had trouble feeling my paddle during my roll, releasing my spray skirt, and slipping during t rescue. I was fine in 30-40 degree weather just wearing neoprene gloves and don't need this product. On the positive, they do keep your hands warm and will probably use them in non-threatening cold weather activities.

I bought these as a gift for someone who always gets cold hands, who tried and doesn't like pogies. Unfortunately, they are too big for her, so they are kept for my future use when pogies are not enough. They seem like a great option for someone prone to cold hands.
