I think these pants are great. They wear up high on your stomach so as long
as you keep the pants your base layer for your core you should stay pretty
dry with your wet top. If you tuck a shirt into the pants and get wet you
will end up getting your bottoms wet too so I would wear the wet top OVER
the pants. If you have a dry top you will stay completely dry.

The pants will keep you dry but don't confuse the dry pant dry top combo as a "dry suit". You will get water in there if you swim. I use this combo instead of a dry suit when I swim water gets in, it doesn't pour in but it does get wet.

You'll get the best seal by tucking the anorak's inner skirt inside the pant's waistband. Tighten the pant's hook-and-loop tabs, then pull the sprayskirt tunnel up under the outer skirt and tighten it. A two-piece system is never as dry as a one-piece drysuit. I was just reading a thread on a boater forum this morning. One poster wrote something I think is spot on: "A 2 piece dry suit is not dry in my experiences, just manageably wet in the right uses."Answered on 1/24/2013 by Clyde from NRS
