We were both involuntarily ejected from the raft in the middle of a class IV rapid in fairly high water early this summer. The water was quite cold, but the jacket dried very quickly and kept in the body heat very well. The only trouble is the velcro at the neckline rubbed my neck raw. Otherwise we both loved the jackets.

great piece for rafting. i sized it large im inbetween usually with med/lrg. with large you can layer without sacrificing freedom of movement. definitly recommend this product. Its a splash jkt if you need more bomber gear go with dry top.windproof rainproof and gret breathability.

I mainly use the jacket for my kayak fishing during winter months in SC. The temperature ranged from 30 to 40F with wind blowing up to 15 mph. I also used it for my wade fishing in the rain and the jacket kept me warm and dry all the time. My only complaint is the neck size is too small even for this size XL. I could not use the Velcro to prevent water to get inside through my neck during a heavy rain fall. Overall, I highly recommend any wade or kayak fisherman to own this product.

The denier fabric should be repairable with a patch like they use to repair rafts and inflatable kayaks. I have not gotten any holes in my spray shirt so this is only an opinion. You might find that a simple tire tube patch will do the trick. Probably won't be very pretty but it beats replacing it. If it doesn't work your only out a couple of bucks.

It should fit with out to much under-neath. I was a 56-58" chest @ 370lbs and 6'5'' and still wore mine but the neck was getting a little tight. I am know at a 52" Chest and 280 lbs and like the fit a lot better.I would stick with the 3X. Bigger is better than to small.
