Overall the jacket has preformed well. Multiple outings in an extended rain has proven that to me. The jacket is pretty light so I would recommend that you layer up underneath it with at least a rashguard. I paddle in a cool climate and the jacket was spacious enough to allow layers of fleece to further keep out the cold and wind. The jacket however, does not breath well due to that moist feeling after extended rain events while paddling. I do feel this is due to perspiration not being able to escape from "battening down the hatches" during the rain.

I am 5'6" and 165# average size frame. The XL armholes were so small they cut into my armpits. Fortunately I am not very large busted because the chest area didn't leave much room. I ended up returning the jacket and ordering the mens version which was excellent!

needed a jacket to go over my Farmer Jane wet suit to protect me from winds and cold (but not too cold) b/c I'm kayaking; it needed to be water resistent (or better waterproof), but lightweight enough so as not to hinder my paddling. This jacket did all of the above very nicely and I'm glad I got it.

Just finished a great 7 day paddling adventure in Hell's Canyon in Idaho with ROW adventures. I usually wear a 10 or 12 top. Went with large instead of medium for room for wetsuit underneath in really cold water and also for more arm length paddling. This jacket worked great!
