NRS Full Zip Sea Tour Jacket - Closeout Q: Is there a drawcord at the hemline? Asked on 4/23/2013 by Gw from Maryland Know the answer? Answer this question 9 answers A: Yes. On the inside. Sent from my iPad Answered on 4/28/2013 by Anonymous A: Sure does. The pulls face inside, so it isn't obvious from the picture. Honestly, this is my go-to jacket from trail to sea -- I love it. Answered on 4/26/2013 by Anonymous A: Yes, it does. Great Jacket. Answered on 4/24/2013 by Anonymous A: Yes, I use it as my cool &cold weather over the PDF top layer, I would not want to be without it. Sent from my iPhone Answered on 4/24/2013 by Gary from Minooka, IL. A: Yes, there is a drawcord. Overall great jacket! Answered on 4/24/2013 by Anonymous A: Yes, there is a drawcord at the hemline at the base of the jacket. The toggle to lock the drawcord is on the inner face of the jacket adjacent to the zipper. Answered on 4/23/2013 by Anonymous A: Yes, with a toggle on each side of the zipper. Sent from my BlackBerry® PlayBook™ www.blackberry.com Answered on 4/23/2013 by Anonymous A: Yes. NRS Full Zip Sea Tour Jacket - Closeout Q: hey there, do you offer the jacket in 3xl ? I saw the sizing chart and i'd feel better if the jacket was bigger rather than smaller. Im 6-2, 240+ w/ 52 inch chest. Thank you for your time, You guys produce some really well engineered clothing. Sean Asked on 3/13/2013 by kayak sean from smithpoint, longisland ny Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Sean, XXL is the largest size in this jacket. It is cut pretty generously for layering. If it doesn't fit to your satisfaction we have a great returns process. Answered on 3/13/2013 by Clyde from NRS A: I'm 5'9" and 150, I love this jacket I have a large which is very roomy. I ware it over my PDF and it does not restrict movement in any way. NRS Full Zip Sea Tour Jacket - Closeout Q: I am 6'6", but slender (180). I am wondering about sleeve length without having to get a 4xl. I normally wear a large/tall and sometimes have issues. Would an xl be enough for me to have adequate sleeve length with gloves? Asked on 10/4/2012 by Fred from Frederick, MD Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Give us a call, 800.635.5202, with your sleeve measurements and we'll check for you. Answered on 10/8/2012 by Clyde from NRS
NRS Full Zip Sea Tour Jacket - Closeout Q: Can you tell me how much stretch is in this jacket? I'm looking for a jacket for sailing and need some ease of movement to get around the boat. Is this a "soft shell," and "hard shell," or a hybrid? Can you tell me about the HyproTex technology? Is this one of the recent fabrics based on the GoreTex technology now out of patent? Or eVent or something else? Thanks! Asked on 10/3/2012 by HC from San Francisco Know the answer? Answer this question 4 answers A: Jacket size is smaller than expected. I ordered one size up and it was still too small. Product is claimed that it will easily fit over a life jacket, however, that it is not true. It is a very tight fit over my lifejacket. I would have difficulty putting it on over the lifejacket while underway in my sea kayak. Lastly, the zipper is one way. Since the jacket fits pretty tight, two way zip is pretty essential to comfort. Other than the above, the jacket is well made and appears to be water resistant. I purchased the jacket several months ago. I should have sent it back, but did not. I have taken it with on one trip, but never felt the desire to try it out. I did some pretty extensive research and there is not a really good lightweight all purpose breathable rain jacket with pit zips, back flap, hood, easy to put on while underway in sea kayak. Answered on 10/3/2012 by Anonymous A: I wear it over my PDF, I like it because it is very roomy with lots of draw cords to keep the wind and rain out. It can be very warm during physical activity and is great for layering. It does not stretch but has room for movement. Sent from my iPhone Answered on 10/3/2012 by Gary from Minooka, IL. A: Not too much stretch, I would characterize it as a hard shell, its definitely waterproof. I use it for kayaking and the range of motion in the upper body is perfectly fine, even with the cuffs sealed and the hood up. Though I'm not a sailor I think it would be great for that purpose Answered on 10/3/2012 by Anonymous A: Hi, Sorry for the slow reply but I've been unexpectedly out of town.... Overall, the Sea Tour Jacket is pretty sweet. It was lighter than I expected which I guess is both good and bad. I don't think you have to treat it delicately, but it's not as beefy as other more heavy duty jackets. Honestly, I think it would be a great sailing jacket. Very waterproof although not quite as breathable as I would have liked. It's tailored well for excellent freedom of movement. I use it mainly for climbing and sea kayaking. Not sure what the material is but you could research that on the NRS site. Seems kind of like a hybrid with lots of reflective tape and a nice, well-designed hood. Hope this helps!
