NRS Men's Powerhouse Jacket Q: is this windproof and what is the difference between the 25813 to the 25812 Asked on 6/2/2013 by carlos from Cape Cod ,MASS Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Carlos, "windproof" is such a slippery word. If by windproof you mean can air easily penetrate the material, the answer is no. The Powerhouse material has a waterproof/breathable membrane, so moisture can exit the garment but liquid water, and wind-driven air, cannot enter. 25812 is the earlier version of the Powerhouse. 25813 is the newer version. There is a slight difference in the material and new colors, but the primary difference is the newer version has that splashproof zipper that runs from the top of the volcano-shaped neck to well out on the shoulder. You can zip it up for snug water-resistant warmth, or zip it open for ventilation. Answered on 6/2/2013 by Clyde from NRS
NRS Men's Powerhouse Jacket Q: How do you clean / launder a powerhouse jacket? Asked on 5/29/2013 by Ken from Garden Valley, Idaho Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Ken, we suggest hand washing with a cleaner like ReviveX Synthetic Fabric Cleaner (# 2296) or Nikwax Tech Wash (# 2373). Some household detergents leave a residue that can interfere with durability. Rinse thoroughly and air dry. Answered on 5/29/2013 by Clyde from NRS
