I am always chilled when out in my K1 or surf ski and this keeps me perfect ... even in race conditions where I am going hard. I LOVE IT!

The XXL fits pretty well on a L person. It won't really fit on an XL person. I would only recommend it to size L and smaller people. Try coming out with a XXL and maybe those of us with a 45 chest could fit in it. I fit into the other types of hydroskin XXL tops well.

I only this jacket once so far sea kayaking and really like it.
4 way stretch makes it comfortable with arm movement.
I think this can take the place of a my hot gorex shell if it's not too windy and cold or raining.
I am so glad I bought a larger size than the rep said.

I bought this to wear during sea kayaking on Colorado Reservoirs in early spring and late fall. When worn with my NRS Flux drytop it was very warm and comfortable, even up to 60 degrees(I have yet to see how warm it will keep me when it gets colder). Like the dry top it runs small. Though I am in the middle of the sizing charts the Large was really tight in the shoulders, chest and armpits. The XL fit much better though I've never owned an XL in any clothes.

The jacket is long enough to ensure that there was no exposure to the cold even when rowing a racing shell full out. This is a good product for protection from the cold in the event of a capsize.

I couldn't, as I found the sizing for the hydroskin jacket to be small,
mostly the lower sleeves which are quite snug, so I have either worn it
with my sleeveless ( tank-top style) hydroskin top or simply worn it in
place of a long sleeve shirt, as one can adjust the zipper for
ventilation and it isn't very thick. They would have done well to have
sleeve zippers like the regular wetsuit jackets.

I don't know as I've never tried it. I don't see why you couldn't do that. Are you wanting to do that for extra warmth? Where I live (Houston, Tx), it would probably be too hot. I have worn the jacket over a hydro silk shirt.. Mostly due to modesty reasons so I can unzip the jacket when it get warm and not show off my less than beautiful bare chest. are tight-fitting and 2 layers would seem uncomfortable to me. Order larger
