Took two of these shirts on a 2-day 30 mile Wisconsin River trip for the purpose of sun protection. The temps were in the 80's, and the shirt felt breathable, and I felt comfortable. They work really well as rashgaurds, as sometimes for extended trips I will get rashed from my kayak seat on my lower back, but this time I was totally good.
I normaly wear Medium size t-shirts, but I ended up getting these shirts in Large, because I didn't want them to be crazy tight, just "not loose", and Large was the perfect balance for me

I used to buy the NRS long sleeve microlite sun shirts, but they apparently no longer carry them and I was forced to buy this Hydrosilk. The Microlight was much better for the beach or pool to protect against sun. The Hydrosilk fits way too tight and is thicker material...way too hot.

Great shirt for getting wet in! Keeps you cool in the summer and warmer in the winter. Great base layer for kayaking. Helps keep some heat in if you need it or dries fast to keep you warm. Will have no problem buying another one!

Best and easiest sun protection for snorkeling, kayaking & swimming. Not bulky or heavy when wet. Not too hot out of water. I have used mine every time I dive in the Philippines, Hawaii & Belize. Avoids using greasy sunscreen that can also pollute sensitive reef environments. I can even carry my camera in the stretchy sleeve. I LOVE it!

I have two of these ... an older version in large, this new one in XL. These things are tight; advise buying in the next size up. Good base layer for under Hydroskin or wetsuit.
