These aren't your dad's long underwear! Say goodbye to itchy wool and clammy cotton and say hello to NRS WaveLite™ Pants. This mid-weight polyester/spandex blend is warm, soft and wicks away moisture.
  • Polartec® Power Stretch® fleece has a next-to-skin fit that moves with you and provides warmth, wicking and comfort.

  • Polartec is the industry leader in performance layering fabrics. "Touch points" on the inner surface wick moisture quickly and pass it out to evaporate rapidly, keeping you dry when you play hard.

  • Cut high in the back with an elastic waistband to keep the pants in place when you sit down.

  • Four-way stretch for mobility and excellent shape-retaining fabric "memory".

  • Form-fitting design allows layering without the added bulk of other mid-weight pants.

  • Fabric:  7.1 oz Polartec® Power Stretch® Fleece 49% polyester-velour, 38% nylon, 13% spandex
  • Waistband:  Elastic
  • Fit:  Form-fitting

Comments about NRS Men's WaveLite Pants - Polartec®:

I have been using this as a first layer in very cold weather: 15-35F. I went kayaking a couple of weeks ago and wore only this under Dry pants. I was very comfortable. I also have been wearing this as a first layer. The size I got is L. I THINK it is meant as a medium layer, but anything going underneath it would really have to be skin tight. I have also been wearing it under running pants going running in very cold weather and have been running and biking and have been very comfortable.

I use the Wavelite base layer for white water kayaking and snow skiing. Light weight and very warm. Allows me to wear a lighter weight outer layer of clothing without sacrificing warmth. Worth every penny!!!

going to yellowstone end of jan for photography. Lot of standing still. Wearing ice breaker 260 for base layer. Looking for a good warm mid layer. Will cover with cabelas trans alaska pants. Is this a good choice?

Every member of my family wears the Wavelight Pants for cold weather and winter activities. My husband and I love ours as a base layer for skiing. During warmer weather, we wear these pants by themselves. They are warm, comfortable, and great for activities that involve movement and flexibility.

Sure...They are Polartec  (powerstretch).  Staying warm standing around is tough with any clothing, especially in Yellowstone.  They would work for you especially with your planned outer and base layer.  Have fun !

I live in Louisville Kentucky. In the winter, it varies from the teens to
the low 30's. I wear shorts year round. When it's going to be less than 30
degrees out, these are the base layer I wear under my shorts - like tights.
I work outside part of the time and they are fairly wind proof. Also wear
them sometimes during the winter in my sit-on-top kayak. In my opinion, if
you wear these as a base layer, you'd be fine as long as your top layer is
wind proof. I personally don't like to be too warm. I would certainly
consider a pair of these as part of my kit. They won't take up much room in
                      your bag.
