This really is the best folding chair I've ever had. I've used it more than a dozen times on several overnight canoe/float trips. When my camp mates cheaper made chairs break on the gravel bar, my NRS chair remains intact. I only give it a 4, because it is difficult to open and fold due to the heavy duty construction. This is really what makes it so strong.

I bought ths chair for a trip down the Grand Canyon. I wanted a durable chair that I would still be sitting in on day 20. I'll start with the good...it durable and dries quickly. The bad...it's not comfortable. I'm 5'11" 210 and I felt like I was sitting in a childs chair. Not what I wanted after rowing all day. The storage bag it comes in has mesh netting that rips easily. Why the mesh when it dries so quickly? The drink holders do well with cans but not your average water bottle. NRS needs to put more thought into this one

Comments about NRS Duramesh Camp Chair:

I bought two of these. Yes, this chair is a tad heavy, but you're NOT going backpacking with it! Besides, the weight is a byproduct of its strength and quality. It's a robust product built to withstand a rugged environment. This chair is well built and sure to last a good long time if not abused. As for the complaints about its size, my wife and I are both of average size (not fat, not round, not "big boned"... just average healthy human size) and the chairs fit us quite well.

Comments about NRS Duramesh Camp Chair:

Tough and durable chair that will stand up to use. Not so for the chair bags - both fabric and drawstring are quite flimsy.

Comments about NRS Duramesh Camp Chair:

Really comfy, quick drying chair. My 2nd one! Durability is an issue. Especially where the arms meet the supports. Wore through after a couple of seasons. Same thing happened to my buddy's chairs as well. However, NRS backed it up by giving me a brand one. My favorite chair of all time!

Comments about NRS Duramesh Camp Chair:

I bought this chair online immediately before heading out for a 25 day trip down the Grand Canyon. On the upside, I was the only one with a dry chair on rainy days and the big rapid days. On the downside, I didn't want to sit in it because it was so uncomfortable. It's just a little too small in every dimension, and I'm a fairly average size person.
