It will keep the rain out while grooving, but if the wind blows you will need to add guilines on all corners and weight to hold it down. The flaps help make this possible. It sets up pretty easy but the poles have a tendency to keep coming undone while setting up. Seems difficult to get back into the original stuff. Otherwise, it does what it is designed to do and does not add much weight to a raft. It is not functional for a shower, no easy place to hang one or get the hose in through the top.
