NRS Captain Rescue Knife
$39.95
The folding, lock-blade NRS Captain Rescue Knife is a great choice for guides and swiftwater rescue professionals. Features a rope cutting hook at the tip and a quick-slicing serrated edge.
- Unique design includes an efficient rope-cutting hook at the knife's blunt tip. A skilled hand can safely slip the hook under a rope pinned to a person's body.
- Super sharp serrated edge easily slices through rope and webbing.
- Folding blade opens with one hand and locks in place for security.
- A spring metal clip keeps the knife where you want it, or you can remove the clip for a sleeker profile.
- Reversible stainless clip attaches to lash tab and lets right and left handers operate it smoothly. When removing the clip and reinstalling it on the other side of the sheath, we recommend applying Loctite® or other thread locker to the screws to prevent loosening.
- Blunt tip also serves as a slot screwdriver.
- The handy bottle opener will hopefully be the feature you use most.

NRS Captain Rescue Knife Q: Will this fit in the greenjacket knife pocket? Or is it too big? Asked on 12/26/2012 by dannie Know the answer? Answer this question 5 answers A: Yes, the NRS Captain rescue knife just fits in the Greenjacket knife pocket. Answered on 12/26/2012 by Anonymous A: I have the GreenJacket by Astral PDF, it does fit the knife pocket. That's the good news, bad news is if you want to use the lanyard hole, it's on the wrong end of the knife (the inside not the outside of the knife), so it needs to be a bit long so it will stick out of the pocket for easy access. This is my only compaint with the knife, otherwise a good all around blade. Answered on 12/27/2012 by Anonymous A: It's not big at all, even kinda small... i don't use the greeenjacket myself but from videos and pictures it looks fine. Answered on 12/29/2012 by Anonymous A: It catches on the knife pocket a little bit, especially the thumb release on the blade. It still fits though. Answered on 12/30/2012 by Anonymous A: Yes it will fit. I would only insert the knife into the pocket up to the posts on the blade (the posts which allows you to extend the blade one-handed). The posts on the blade tend to get fouled in the knife pocket if the knife is fully inserted into the pocket. Answered on 12/26/2012 by Anonymous
NRS Captain Rescue Knife Q: Any good for use in salt water? Asked on 12/7/2012 by Coldwater Know the answer? Answer this question 5 answers A: Used it only in salt water lakes, just follow normal procedure after any saltwater use. Rinse in fresh water. Answered on 12/9/2012 by Anonymous A: We wouldn't recommend it for use in saltwater. Our titanium Pilot and Co-Pilot are the only ones we'd recommend. Answered on 12/7/2012 by Clyde from NRS A: Did not use in Salt water. Purchased it as safety knife for cutting lines or tethers in any situation. cd Answered on 12/7/2012 by Anonymous A: I primarily paddle in brackish water, sometimes in salt. So far the knife has shown no signs of rust or tarnish. Hope that helps... Sent from my iPhone Answered on 12/7/2012 by Anonymous A: Works fine for me in the warm Israeli Mediterranean sea. Although it gets a bit of rust around the angled blade it can be cleaned quickly with a bit of scratching. Answered on 12/22/2012 by Anonymous
