Comments about Princeton Tec Eco Flare: I have only used the red flasher so far, flashes about 4-5 times per second which seems a little faster than I would like but it's not bad. Seems to be visible enough on clear nights, but I like how it's not too bright. I don't notice it that much when it's on my back.

Comments about Princeton Tec Eco Flare: I keep mine attached to the back of my PFD. It's better than nothing. Don't take me wrong. It's not that bad. In fact, it's pretty decent. I just wished it had a brighter light or maybe the diffuser cone is too thick. Not sure how it would work if I was ever separated from my Kayak or canoe in the lake or ocean in the middle of the night. I hope I never have to find out.
Pros Cons Best Uses
Comments about Princeton Tec Eco Flare: Good little light to use as a location beacon. Battery lasts a good 7-8hrs with the white bulb in.
Pros Cons Best Uses
Comments about Princeton Tec Eco Flare: I bought this as a light to attach to my PFD for a river paddle race. I was very happy with it. It is very bright but not too obnoxiously bright, the battery life is impressive (I got 11 hours out of it) and I like the flash and no flash option. A solid value on a mandatory piece of safety gear.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Princeton Tec Eco Flare: this was used as a bow light for sculling and the problem was consistent mis threading of the 2 components!
