Keep snacks, rain gear, maps and gadgets close at hand with the roomy NRS Taj M'Haul Deck Bag. It's also a home for safety essentials such as your bilge pump, paddle float and sponge.
  • Inner dry bag is made of our bomber polyurethane Infinity float bag material, with the waterproof HydroLock™ zip-seal closure that keeps your gear totally dry.

  • Stretchy mesh outer pockets and adjustable bungee lacing will hold your paddle float, sponge and water bottle, as well as those hard-to-stow miscellaneous items.

  • The largest outer pocket features an adjustable clip-in buckle, so you can securely stow objects of many shapes and sizes.

  • A mesh sleeve holds your bilge pump on the side of the bag and a specially designed bungee loop secures it at the top.

This bag, compared to others I have seen/had, is awesome. It is durable, extremely roomy, and very easy to open. However, I agree with the other review's; the plastic insert that holds the bag in an 'open' position could be a bit more rigid, but it does do what it is suppose to. I wouldn't confuse this with the rigidness of the bag itself, which is very durable. Compare to other bags, it is worth the little extra money. I would rate this bag a 5 if it wasn't for the insert, but after using others and knowing what I know about this, I would still buy this bag again.

This deck bag could be a great product, but misses on to many points. The dry bag is cheap and light weight and makes no sense. The Velcro strap that looks like it should help hold the bag closed does not work it is too long or the attachment point is in the wrong place. The Velcro pad at the bottom of the bag is more on the top of the bag then the bottom making the bag twist when fitted in the deck bag. The plastic stiffener that was meant to hold the bag open and give it shape does not work. It is thin and there are no mounting points for it in the bag; it just sits in there and rolls up losing its shapes. I few simply things would have made this work like it does in other bags. The bag is not meant to be a dry bag and that is fine but it should have some type of drainage so water that may get in can get out fast. The Velcro that holds the bag to the deck works good, but the bag can still slide, and the four deck straps that would fix this problem are all but useless. They are one length with no adjustment you can clip then to the deck bungees but the deck lines. They need to be adjustable so they can be clipped and pulled tight.

Comments about NRS Taj M'Haul Deck Bag:

Bag is ok. It does the job and you can reach what you need. I have removed the inter liner and I just stuff a dry bag in its place anyway. I like it to keep camera and other quick handy items. Stays closed. I would go with an under deck bag next time. Rusted out rivets was a bad deal for the price. better hardware should have been selected or even plastic.

Comments about NRS Taj M'Haul Deck Bag:

I paddle day trips mostly. This puts necessities close at hand. It is easy to open and access my stuff. The 4 point anchor clips are kind of difficult to use and have no length adjustment. I was compelled to make my own loops to accommodate my attachment needs.

Yes it is. If you want a high volume deck bag this is the one. However, I have since upgraded to a watershed deck bag and love it. Less volume but it doesn't get wet and soggy.

            A:

Yes it is very removable, even when you wish it weren't! It's very flimsy and clings to your hands when you pull them out of the bag. The bag should have some type of attachment - Velcro or something.
I returned the bag for a refund and told NRS it was not ready for prime time.. Partly because of the bag coming loose. Also because you need two hands to get into the bag. And because the zipper is not protected from splashes, and because water enters the bag thru the large grommet holes.
