It is OK for low light conditions. I was looking for something that would signal to speedboats and ski doos that a canoe is on the lake.

I like the product's concept and overall design, and other reviewers here have been happy with theirs. However after a single evening's use my strobe stopped blinking and will flicker and eventually turn continuously on. Perhaps I was just unlucky.

We live on a boat and use these as backup safety lighting on PFDs, pet collars and anything else that might go overboard at night. They are small, lightweight and waterproof. The only real limitation is the size; it is not designed to be visible from extreme distances.

does the Pelican 2130 Mini flasher have an on/off switch? I know that's probably a silly question, but I can't find one in the picture, and no one mentioned it. If it does, I'll be ordering three, if not, I'll keep searching.

It does not have a physical "switch" but it is turned on and off by simply turning the top portion of the light. I own two of these and I have put them thru the war. I did the worlds toughest mudder race in November and dragged the Pelican thru mud, dirt, deep water, freezing temps; and after 24hrs in those elements, it was still blinking away! Great product! I cannot find mine to be sure, but I am almost completely certain that you
turn it on and off by slightly screwing/unscrewing the red lens, which is
o-ring sealed.
