However, before it actually got into his hands, i realized it's the perfect size for my camera. I've been using it all summer and it's perfect. On the days I don't use it for my camera, it's the perfect size for my cell phone and (rather bulky) key ring. Measured the camera and compared dimensions on all the Pelicans in the spec-chart and decided on the closest size. Plan for the foam insert reducing the internal dimensions of these cases. Luckily, the 1010 fits my camera snugly and is not too small and needing returning. Generously go at least one size bigger to the size of what you're packing. Also, these are more appropriate as gear-cases - not as deck-secured waterproof cases to be opened and closed with the removal and stowage of a camera or GPS. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Pelican Micro Cases: I replaced my 7 year old box with this new Pelican. 6 of us in the family use one = we're about to run out of colors to keep them separate
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Pelican Micro Cases: My daughter gave this to hold my iPod that my wife got me for my summer bday. It holds an iPod and neccesary cords no problem and is easy to carry. Haven't tested it on the river yet but should be plenty tough.

Comments about Pelican Micro Cases: I wanted a case that was easier to access than my drybox and protected my camera from sand/grit/spray. So far so good with this case though it did fog up which makes me wonder if i will like it in a year. My camera was kept out of the sand, was easy to get to as i could leave it out and generally this is the best solution I have found so far for a mid priced camera. (I am not a fan of the poor picture quality of waterproof cameras)

Comments about Pelican Micro Cases: I use these boxes when I raft to ensure the things I put inside will stay dry. They haven't failed me yet.
