Comments about Campsite Counter:

I worked as a professional whitewater guide for 15 years. We had these tables at most companies I worked for, and they are the bomb. Durable, easy to set up, easy to store, and they are the perfect height for preparing food without hunching over and hurting your back.

I haven't worked as guide for 3 years now, but own one of these personally. A little pricey for a table, but will last, and well worth it. You can use it at your house, out on the deck as a cocktail table or by the pool with snacks, even throw it in the back of truck for tailgate party. Every time I have been on a grand canyon trip these tables were present, and I love them!

Comments about Campsite Counter:

This is a great foundation for any camp kitchen. I like the offset legs for support and the table's height is perfect for preparing, cooking and washing up (I'm an old guy and not bending over is great). I use this with a small roll up as a serving table but will soon be purchasing another - I plan on getting the new wide version. It doubles as a great gear platform or passenger seat. The table is indestructible.

    Q:

We recently went on a trip down the Main Salmon and brought two of these with us. Either in transport or on the trip the table suffered a chip/gouge. Can a simple epoxy be used to fix something like this? Or is another filler more appropriate?

    Thanks for your help,
    Erin

If you still have the piece that got gouged out an epoxy could be used to reattach it. If not, a wood sealer can be applied to the open wood. That's good to do along the edges of the plywood as well.

I think that an epoxy would work great. The table top is a piece of plywood coated with a plastic type cover. If the chip is really bad you can replace the top with marine plywood and coat with generous portions of sealer. How was your Salmon trip?  One of the best rivers ever!
