I needed a paddle bag to transport my paddle on a kayaking trip to Mexico. This was exactly what I needed. Not fancy but gets the job done.

Comments about NRS Whitewater Kayak Paddle Bag:

I bought this bag as a gift for my husband. I also purchased a new werner paddle to put in it, it was for Christmas. I was transporting it to New Zealand from the Eastern U.S. I packed a few other items in the bag with the paddle, it traveled great! It is light weight and easy to carry. I would suggest this bag to anyone traveling with a paddle, we will be using it often.

Comments about NRS Whitewater Kayak Paddle Bag:

I bought two of these for a trip to Ecuador. Each bag held two paddles (only one was mine). Three were bent shaft. The bag is nicely padded and keep two paddles separate. There's a divider in the middle and a loop with a buckle at each end to hold the shafts. There are two fleece pockets, one on each end. Only one blade from each paddle can be in a pocket

We were confident that the paddles would be protected (they were)

There's room for a little bit of clothing even with two paddles in a bag.

You don't need to add any padding, but there's room too if you're paranoid.

            They're great. No complaints

            • NRS Whitewater Kayak Paddle Bag

              Q:

It appears you can hold a lot of stuff inside besides a paddle (or 4). What would the diameter be if puffed out to a ciruclar cross section? Wondering if it would hold 3 or 4 oar shafts (minus blades) for travel.

                A:

You could probably get three, maybe four, oar shafts in there, but a 9' Carlisle or Cataract shaft, minus the blade is 80.5" long and the paddle bag is only 81" long, outside dimension, so you'd only be able to get 8.5' and shorter shafts in it.

I don't know what the puffed out diameter is but I've put three (3) whitewater paddles in it. What's an oar diameter vs whitewater paddle shaft.!

I travelled with two paddles in the bag. It's great, but I doubt that it
would hold any oar rig oars because of their length, possibly one if it
broke down. It'll probably hold 4 rafting or canoe paddles.

You could probably triple that. I used mine for two WW paddles, paddling cloths and dry gear. The bag diameter would be around 12" as a cross section.. My paddles were 97 cm and they just fit.

You absolutely can stuff a lot into one of these bags. I flew from Seattle to Johannesburg (South Africa) with 2 paddles, about 4 throw bags, and probably a good 20lbs worth of random stuff like rolled up dry tops, tight fit but it was great.

It can hold a lot of stuff inside. 3 oar shafts should fit easy inside,
possibly 4. But not 100% sure with the 4.
