- Durable mini cell foam cushions your boat and protects your vehicle.
- The slot in the foam blocks can pop onto the canoe gunwales (two per side). Then the flat non-skid surface is placed directly on the vehicle roof.
- You can also slip the slots in the blocks over factory rack load bars and set the gunwales on the non-skid surface.
- Then attach the 14' J-hook Straps to the bow and stern of the boat and affix them to the front and rear of the vehicle.
- Two 15-foot padded straps provide secure center tie down support.
- The kit stows away neatly in the included mesh bag. Complete use instructions accompany the kit.

I use the product to strap my 16'6" We-no-nah Solo Plus canoe to the top of my Jeep Cherokee. I have a rack, so I don't need the foam blocks. For short trips, I typically use only the 2 center straps.
Even with only 2 straps, the kit keeps the canoe firmly in place on my car, and it takes all of three minutes to rig up. Great product.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter and fiance. They just got into canoeing and do not have racks built in to their vehicle. I have 44 years experience canoeing and have a dble high quality fixed rack system, that carries 3 boats;being a solo,a tandem canoe and a kayak, so I run the return shuttle. They needed a secure, quality single canoe carry system. I researched them all and NRS was top quality, all the way!..A no brainer decision for me . Thanks for not going cheap on this product. They will get 20 + years service from this product with normal care.
