I bought 2 cup holders for 2 kayaks.. One kayak it works fairly well on but the lip of the other one is narrower and when you put a bottle, cup etc in it, it turns down and you can only use bottles with tops on them or the liquid would pour out.

This was virtually impossible to mount anywhere in my raft frame, is so flexible that a full beer bends it sideways, and is so fragile that it tears.I also saw a set of 4 of these at [@] for less than the price of this one.....

I was originally going to buy four of these - one for each of our two kayaks and another two for the canoe, but something told me to just get the two to start. I'm glad I listened; they don't fit in the kayaks and just pop right off. Luckily they do work on our canoe, and even stayed on when we tipped over! Definitely don't assume they fit all kayaks.

                          Hi,
I can't give you an exact number. But it easily will hold a full can of beverage of your choice. I have also put full bottles of water in it. If you have a bottle beer then it is a little tricky because of the weight distribution. But once you hit half way in isn't a problem. I have had mine for years and it has not broken.
                          Hope this helps.

It'll take a container 3.5" in diameter, so it's easily hold a quart water bottle. "A pint's a pound, the world around" so at least two pounds, probably more.

For sure a beer but not much more than that. Also a small bump to the gunwale will dislodge the beverage holder. Good for the lake not good for whitewater touring.

This cup holder will easily hold: a glass of wine, full can of soda, full bottle or can of beer. That said it also holds my water bottle full of water which weighs in over 2 pounds. I hope this answers your question. As a happy NRS customer I would recommend you purchase more than one. I always run into people who want one so I give them away.

A regular can of coke or coffee mug that would fit in a car holder.
