        Comments about Woodland Power Stove:

For river camp cooking for large(r) groups, having a high power auxilliary burner is pretty much mandatory. There are basically two products that serve this purpose: The Partner Steel Blaster; or the Woodland Power Stove.

While the Blaster has more maximum BTUs, the Power Stove has more than enough and can also do something besides blast at full strength. The Power Stove can be dialed through a range of power settings, from jet afterburner mode down to a simmer. An attached restrictor plat can also be inserted into the jet port to allow the Power Stove to be operated as a creditable propane camp fire (with the addition of ceramic logs or cinder rock) for nightime warmth and ambiance when campfires aren't allowed.

In addition, the Power Stove is much more stable than the Blaster and folds up into a very small package for transport. And, since it is all stainless steel, there is no need to take up dry box space on the boat with the Power Stove - getting wet won't hurt it at all.

While I've just recently added one to my gear stash, I've used both the Power Stove and the Partner Blaster on numerous group trips. When it came time to get one for myself, there really was no hesitation in going with the Power Stove.

          Comments about Woodland Power Stove:

I use this to make chippino (in a5 gal stock pot) on river trips. In the past I used a 2-3 burner camp Chef stove that is a little bulky, but this stove works famously...gives me the BTUs i need and folds up into a little bag...really slick
