The makers of quik-n-easy racks made the hole in their towers just small enough to not accept the 1 inch OD steel pipe at your local hardware store. Now you have to source these things through NRS, etc. (Forced patronage). Used these bars on one camping trip to carry a canoe and a kayak spaced properly and using sportrack attachments. The bar is now permanently sagging in the middle. They must have had to mill down a stronger post to keep you from buying from [...]! I drove through a rain on the way camping, by the trip home a week later, I noticed rust forming inside the bar ends. My advice, buy Thule or Yakima and spend a little more. You'll be happier in the long run.
