Comments about Desolation River Guide Book:
This is an interesting river guide, full of information. However it shows rapid locations, but does not describe the rapids. At the time that we ran the Sand Wash to Swanseys stretch, the rapids were pretty straight forward, read and run, but a few rapids are definitely more difficult and deserving of a rating and/or description.
