The Middle Fork Guide is the best reference available. I bought it for the low water descriptions of the runs. Understanding that it would be impossible to write a guide that would be absolutely accurate at all water levels on a river that is ever-changing. The guide was generally accurate and definitely worth picking up if you're running the MFSR at a level that you're not familiar with.

I bought this book before my first MF trip and it's pretty extensive; historical river flows, camp specific hikes, low and high water rapid description and sturdy enough to take along on the trip Only problem with the book is that I lost it when I flipped in Rubber (my first flip ever)
