Comments about Rogue River Guide Book:

Many guidebooks have adopted a certain, consistent downriver mileage convention, and this book should have adopted a more easily used one. While there are many sections of the Rogue to discuss, I found it very confusing to accomplish early trip planning and orientation to the area, based solely on this guide. It all fell together once I compared it to a competing guide, and talked to some locals. That's the only dig, everything else is stellar.

Comments about Rogue River Guide Book:

This is an excellent guidebook and covers many topic areas well, especially if it is your first visit. Some rapid descriptions are geared more toward novice boaters, so you may look for "the big move moment", then realize you've past it. Great hike descriptions and camp assessments.
