Comments about RiverMaps Grand Canyon Guide Book: This book appears to have all of the major and majority of the minor rapids covered. It doesn't read well for me as I prefer a top down approach, which reduces confusion for me in tracking approaching rapids. Pros

Comments about RiverMaps Grand Canyon Guide Book: Nice details about camps along the river, topos nice. This is a very large map: best used in camp or sitting flat in front of you on top of the ice chest as you row! It has black & white photos; would be perfect w color pics or more pics of campsites. I appreciate the directions about how to pull in to camps, difficulty etc. Well worth it to get this guide, a bit large to stuff into your kayak though; the Belknap is better size, though it doesn't lie flat like this one...I bought both of them... Comments about RiverMaps Grand Canyon Guide Book: Great guide book. Descriptions of camp sites, rapids and cultural features were spot on. Also, the paper and spiral binding held up to the rigors of a Grand Canyon trip. The only thing I would like to see more of from this guide book is better and more detailed descriptions of off-river activities (e.g. hikes). All in all, this was an indispensible item on our trip. Merchant response: Day Hikes From the River, which we carry, is by the same author and it gives you that off-river info. It's an indispensable companion book.
