As a retired river guide, I've taken three swift- water rescue programs prior to purchasing this video, and I believe this to be an excellent review. This is, in my estimation, a good tool to have for anyone who is comtemplating taking up a river sport. It's a very good value for the price. All that being said, There's not substitute for a hands on swiftwater program.

Kent Ford is an intentional educator, a driven member of the boating community, and one of the most genuine human beings you can ever come across. His videos aren't hard core or extreme...they are educational and have an important message. This is lost with some paddlers but I believe those that understand outnumber the loud and obnoxious. Thanks Kent for creating another excellent resource.
