I have used a Yakima roof rack since 1990. Started using the Q-Tower in 1994 when I bought a gutterless car. This model is a big improvement over the old model. However, the whole Yakima system with the round bars can cause accessory clips to twist. Thule may be a better bet-although I haven't tried it. One way to stop the twisting is to cut a bike inner tube up and put rubber strips under each accessory clip.

Was easy to install. I had difficulty linning up the cover with the lock holes. Yakima sent sent out new parts and they installed perfectly.

Takes a little while to set it up the first time, but the vehicle specific measurements make it easy to get it right. Feels solid.
I take the rack off when I'm not using it to avoid wind noise, so the black film you apply to protect your paint is visible and kind of ugly. Clear film would be nicer.
