  • Yakima Roof Tracks

    Q:

How are tracks attached to the roof? Does it require drilling hole? Please provide installation instructions.

      A:

Yes you have to drill holes in your roof to install Yak Tracks. Mine are installed on a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited hard top so it was easy. Just be sure to silicone the screw holes during install to prevent any leaking. The finished product has a very low profile by the way and doesn't look bad at all whether you have your rack on or off.

I am curious who wants to know.
I followed Yakima instructions which involve holes in the roof.
How difficult and/or involved that is depends upon the roof and what is on
      the inside.
