    Best Bags Out There!

I use this set of bags in my Dagger and they fit great. You can find cheaper bags, but I don't think you can find better bags for the money!

these were the first float bags i had ever owned. i assumed they needed to be topped off every time i used them. after several years the leaks were getting worse. i discovered that they leaked at the elbow joint between the bag and the inflator line. my attempts to glue them failed. NRS sent me new bags. these leak just the same. after a swim my boat totally sank and friends had a difficult time retrieving it. faulty float bags can create serious situations for your equipment and the paddler.

Broke them in last weekend and my Burn Medium on the Upper Gauley. Never took to a swim, so didn't see how they float. But they stayed inflated and snug in the boat the whole weekend.

Comments about NRS Split Kayak Flotation:

Bought the set for my whitewater boat. But mostly I paddle long boats. It is good to carry a long one in a sea kayak just in case of a blown hatch cover or structural damage. It doesn't take up hardly any space deflated, weighs next to nothing and could come in real handy; maybe save your life,

Great product. Add flotation to my kayak hatches not so waterproof. I have been more aware of safety since capsizing in rough weather. The great thing is also securing cargo. I always carry a kayak cart in the rear hatch, the flotation bag keeps if from moving around when I practice rolls (to cool off).

These fit a Liquidlogic XP10 very well (bow and stern). The bow bags don't fit very well in my daughters XP9 though because the boat is shorter.

I have a Jackson fun and a ammo, both short boats. The nice thing about the split flotations is that they are fairly narrow but longer. What I do is jam the one or two float bags, depending on my boat, in my stern and fill it up. Yes there may be not be inflated all the way but it fills the void nicly. An added plus is these bags are indestructible. Forget to deflate the bag before you hit the bar with your boat on your car... No problems cause this bag won't pop.

Yes, the split kayak floatation will fit the Dancer Pro. They are what I
used to have, when I had a Dancer.

You should measure the distance from the stern to the cockpit on your boat, then compare to the length of the float bags to determine what size to get..  I'm not familiar with the Dancer, but from pictures on the web it looks like it has a foam pillar that goes from the back of the cockpit to the stern.  When installing the bags, you will need to tie the bags together around the back end of the foam pillar. If you don't do this the bags will pop out of your boat if you have to exit and the boat fills up with water. You can gain access through the drain plug in the stern.  If your boat doesn't have a drain plug http://www.nrsweb.com/shop/product.asp?pfid=2002 you can install one easily, or have it done at a kayak shop.

                      Hello
I use them both in a creekboat and in my seakayak. I don`t fasten them at all. I just place them where I want them and innflate. If its in the bow they stay behind the pedals or footboard, if its in the stern they stay behind the seat. In i seakayak they are often used to prevent cargo from moving around in the cargorooms or the same way as in a riverkayak in front of the pedals.
                      Good luck.

If you have a foam pillar down the center of the boat, there may be a way to thread a 1/4" line through  the space forward of the pillar.  If so, you could tie one end of the line to the front end of one float bag, thread it through the boat, then figure out how to tie it to the other float bag, then pull the first bag back till both bags are in place before inflating.
