Well... I got the first set of bags to replace some old Mohawk bags. They seemed durable but within a week one bag was leaking and one bag had a D ring torn off from normal use. The next set arrived a couple weeks later but I had time to wait, the Mohawk bags still work. One of the replacements had a hole right out of the bag, no worries, NRS sent a brand new bag. Great company!!! Not the best bags.

These bags serve double duty in my Viper 11 and in my Dagger Caption tandem. They are tough, light, attractive, have lots of handy tie-down points, valve stem AND dump valve, and have an AWESOME warranty. I've decided that ALL canoe airbags eventually leak. One of these did start leaking after about 2 years. Called NRS, then sent the bag back and it was promptly replaced with a new one. Nice!
One minor CON is that they are more sensitive to temperature changes that most other bags. No big deal, you just have to be concious to add / remove air as the air or water temp changes.

Well, I've never had an airbag that didn't leak eventually. I got these for my Viper 11 hoping to stop that trend. Unfortunately after a month one of the two bags had a slow leak. Very slow, but it was there. I sent it back and NRS promptly (QUITE PROMPTLY!) replaced (NOT repaired) it. Haven't had a problem with the new one or with the second original bag. Its been ~8 months now.
One thing you have to be careful of with these is that the material is relatively thin. This keeps weight down, but it also makes the bags more sensitive to temperature changes. I've found that they expand more quickly in the sun, and contract more quickly in cold air or water. Not a huge thing but something you have to think about. I've heard these bags are tough enough that they can warp your gunwales if allowed to overexpand.
I also like the long valve stems. Makes it easier to adjust air pressure on the fly.
