If you're doing any big water tandem canoeing you won't want to leave home without some flotation. These Infinity Center floats fit in all whitewater tandem boats (except those with upright bracing). Cut wider at the middle than the ends to conform to most canoes.

  • NRS Canoe Center Float

    Q:

I am looking for a canoe center flotation bag that can be inflated quickly using a hand pump similar to those that are used to fill air mattresses. I would like to know what type of inflation valve this bag has.

I'm not sure about inflating anything quickly with a hand pump, but the
center bag from NRS is great (the bow and stern bags too). I used the
bag on the Deschutes River with a hand pump and it took awhile to
inflate, but it is the center bag (a large volume). Most of the time on
the Rogue River, I use an electric pump that can be used from my car's
lighter (we forgot it on the Deschutes trip). The inflation valve is
big enough to accommodate all types of male adapters. I've had this
bag for at least 5 years and it is still like new. I would buy this bag
      again.

Hello the float bag has a valve similar to an air matress. It needs high
volume low pressure air. I have also used a leaf blower.Hope this helps.

This bag has the small twist type tube filler that is used to top it off. It also has a 3/4" or so pop off fill opening that can be used with a foot pump or other pump with the right tube adaptor. Most pumps come with an assortment of tube tips, most likely one will fit. Sometimes if I don't have the right tip I use a smaller one and make it fit by wrapping electrical tape around it until it reaches the right diameter. I install the bag by filling it with the pump through the big hole but not very tight, then lacing it in and then blow it up drum tight through the tube filler.

As you look at the photo of the float, the dark tube bottom center has a twist valve for mouth inflation. To its right is a dump valve to which you can insert a pump adapter for quick volume inflation.
