Comments about Astral V-Eight PFD: I purchased two of these PFDs for my Beautiful Bride and me, so we could get out kayaking in Alberta's lakes. The vests are comfortable, easily adjustable and very well ventilated. We both appreciate the shaped foam in the vest at chest level, as it accomodates my pecs and her needs too. The vests have a small pocket for storing a basic survival kit (in a waterproof pouch) though I would prefer a little more pocket space (maybe one on each side).

Comments about Astral V-Eight PFD: I use this on a USP and it's great. Lightweight, cool and does not restrict movement.
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Astral V-Eight PFD: I had high expectations for both comfort and breathability, but was disappointed in both. I found the padding interfered with arm motion around the "spare tire" area when kayaking, and overall it was quite stiff. The vents amy be a cute marketing idea, but they really don't allow for much air motion - therefore no heat transfer.
