Looks nice and fits fairly well but a confusing choice of location for the primary clips. My old pfd's had either front zipper or front clips. I consider myself moderately flexible and average size. This vest requires a serious reach to get to the clips to fasten and usually I'm forced to loosen all the straps to even make the connection. Not the worst, just a pain. Once it's on its great. It's almost like the designers never had to put it on themselves. As for pros, the fitting can be almost too good. I found myself securing it to a point that once in my boat, had the vest restricting my breathing slighlty. A looser fit with the straps is still really secure in this design.

I had a different brand of pfd and I was never comfortable in it. It felt like a couple pieces of ply-wood with webbing. The Astrol has lots of adjustment and conforms nicely around my body. Pretty new to me so I can't talk about durability.

if you are interested in this jacket and cannot deside. this is a quality jacket and i used it for white water rafting and it holds up quit well. buy this one and you wont go wrong

Overall I like this pfd. I have noticed some material breakdown on the left shoulder strap. It rubs on my velco that closes the neck of my dry top. I have a friend who had a similar problem and sent it back for warranty because the floatation material started to fall out.
