I'm not sure if it is trans-gender fitting but it is a very nice vest with
plenty of adjustment. I would buy it and if it doesn't fit just exchange
          it for another.

Astral designed this jacket as a men's; it's named for one of their guys, Ronny. At the same time, they brought out the women's Linda, named for one of their gals, Linda. Some ladies may like the Ronny, but maybe ought to look at the Linda first.

I think it goes both ways, so to speak, but I'll have my wife try mine on &
get back to you to make sure. This is a great lightweight jacket.

I bought it as a christmas gift but I did try it on and it would be appropriate for either a man or a woman. The side straps are adjustable. I especially like how thin the back is and that it is vented. It will be comfortable in both a kayak or a canoe...Eric

I think men would find it more comfortable than women. For a pfd I would recommend getting a women's vest for a woman.

i'm a man and it fits me fine. not sure that trans-gender would fit me
          quite so well.
